"When turning or navigating corners, your vehicle may not have adequate traction," Schmidt explains. "Always be prepared for a slip and adjust accordingly."

Schmidt emphasizes the importance of giving snowplow operators ample space to perform their tasks. "Plows are out there doing their best, but by the time they make their circuit, new snow has already accumulated," she points out.
